Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone!!! I spent my NYE with my 2 youngest at our First Night festivities in our downtown. We walked around, the kids made crafts, listened to performances and watched fireworks. My middle son participated in a Robe Goldberg project for his school that makes a firework explode. I wish we would have had the opportunity to see it work, but I had no want to wait around till 11:30 for them to start it. I have an issue about being out on NYE. There are too many people where I live at that act crazy when NYE comes. In fact as we were leaving yesterday there was a couple that had stumbled out of a bar and were arguing at the top of their lungs. While we are driving a car came down the pne way street towards us. Then there was the OK Corral going on outside my window. Seriously I think that the guy reloaded his gun at least 4 times before he finally stopped aroung 12:30. I just don’t get what it is about shooting your guns over and over again to bring in the new year. Um, things that go up do come down. I guess that does not phase the shooter. Anyhoo all the shooting went on for about 45 minutes before there was once again peace in my neighborhood. At least my house is clean and clear. My mother has this thing about the house being empty of all Christmas things by New Years day. So within about 4 hours everything that remotely reminded you of Christmas was packed away for next year. With that in mind I hope the New Year brings me and those around me more happiness. Here’s hoping for a year full of Faith, Hope, Charity, Love, Wisdom and Peace.
